Little Background

Alan Taylor (a.k.a. ACT) always had a love for good music and good people having a good time.

He always stayed true to the music. Music was not only a passion but a true hobby. If you

stopped by Alan's house you would be stuck in the aura of him playing all the right music.

Alan recognized there wasn't a place for mature people to go out dancing and have a good time and enjoy "Pure Adult Fun".

The dining room became too small and actjamsproductions.com was formed.

In November 2003, Alan had his first Old School Party in Waterbury at a large dance hall in a remote area that was safe and had plenty of parking. All the parties were sold with printed tickets. The party was a success with over 200 people attending due to Alan's marketing and promotion skills. A niche was filled: good music, nice venue, excellent ticket price, good food, and good people.
In the beginning, Alan hired DJs to provide the music; however, people wanted to hear him. Alan has been the DJ at parties ever since.

Alan organized and promoted on average 3 parties a year with each party filling the venues with over 150 people through word-of-mouth. Alan also started implementing the "party with a purpose" philosophy by having 50/50 raffles at the parties-50 percent to a non-profit organization and 50 percent to the winner.

Alan was also recognized for his talents by 94.3 WYBC and was selected for the training
program, and became part of the WYBC family in 2010. Alan had his own one hour show titled,

Host and Programmer for Smooth Jazz Sundays and WYBC

Smooth Jazz and R&B, which was on the 1340 AM WYBC and WYBCX.com, both of Yale
Broadcasting Company.

Alan's number one supporter and business manager is his wife, Helen Taylor.
